We are a certified organic fruit and vegetable farm in the Waddell Creek Valley, on the northern edge of Santa Cruz County. We farm on Rancho del Oso — the coastal side of Big Basin Redwoods State Park — one mile inland from the Pacific and two miles north of Davenport.

WHAT WE GROW

Tomatoes, basil, beans, peas, artichokes, corn, peppers, lettuces, radicchio, fresh herbs, zucchini, winter squash, melons, cucumbers, eggplant and flowers. Everything is certified organic through CCOF. We keep growing through the winter, and plant cover crops to hold the soil in place, add to its fertility, and make habitat for beneficial insects.

WHERE IT GOES

Our produce is harvested fresh and delivered to the restaurants and grocery stores of Santa Cruz. Through a small network of wholesale partners, our harvest also makes its way to the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond. You can also find us at the Felton Farmers Market on Tuesdays from 1:30 to 5:30 during the open market season.

THE ORCHARD

The fruit tree orchard was planted around 1990 by the prior farmer, Route 1 Farms. From it you overlook the coastal flood plain of Waddell Creek. The trees are Hass avocados; apples (Rubinstar, Gala, Pippin, Gravenstein); plums (Santa Rosa, Mariposa, Satsuma); pears (Comice, Red Bartlett, Green Bartlett); Red Haven peaches; Blenheim apricots; Meyer and Eureka lemons; and protea flowers. We maintain the orchard and distribute the fruit throughout the local Santa Cruz community.
